This site is a community of people are dedicated to baiting internet scammers. Their primary objective is to waste the scammers time. They figure that any time wasted on baiters is less time they have to scam a potential victim.

Basically these guys go through their spam boxes and purposefully reply to all the "my uncle in nigeria has left me $1M in his will, but i need $5000 to pay the lawyers fee to get the money, ill go halves with you in the profit" type emails.

They often try and waste the scammers money as well as time as an extra kick in the nuts.

Here's an example of one where the guy managed to convince the scammer to be involved in his "handwriting research project" and transcribe all 293 pages of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets promising $100 USD per page.

Holy fucking shit, I should be studying but this is just absolute GOLD! This guy Donald Pedro was getting baited for close to a year and jumped through all kinds of hilarious hoops before finally giving up. This "ritual" that the baiters got them to do (TWICE) to free the spirit of "Fohr-Un-Ein-Eetar" from a state of limbo takes the cake...
