Christie
I have a lot of people that inspire me friends and family mostly I don't generally look up to famous people there are lots that have done amazing things that do "wow" you but there aren't any inparticular that I follow. People who follow their dreams and do what they can to get there (with out hurting people along the way) My cat who spent three months wandering and found her way back to me (now that's determination)

fulltimeplay
shortland street hehe actually without wanting to sound too cheesy, my son inspires me entirely. He is 7 now and I had him when I was toooooooooooo young but wIthout him I know I wouldn't be in the same place The thing with kids is they make you be your best, even when you don't feel like it and you're hungover and tired and rotten (and broke) and still you cope and make it fun. It's a cool life! aaaaaaaaaah thurs morn nostalgia~!
robyn
My Mum is definitely my biggest inspiration. She's the warmest, most accepting, strongest and most driven person I've ever encountered (not that I'm biased or anything). She does the most spontaneous, kind things for people all the time and if I turn out to be anything like her at all I'd be chuffed!! :grouphug:

Guest
well, since this is DRUMANDBASS.co.nz, i'm gonna tell ya's a little about who/what inspires me to gettonnup and doomathang... i love getting upon the mic and hyping up a crowd... BUT, firstly, theres gotta be a good energy in the place, so first and foremost, my biggest inspiration would have to be all of you. just for being there and wanting it... yeah, i know you's want it. lyrically, i'd have to say any M.C's who can rock a show, got rhymes, AND a good flow. my top two would have to be Bahamadidia, & DynamiteMC. also, p diggs, for his hard case stage presence, amazing voice, and just straight up perfomance antics. the godfather of soul james brown. new kid on the block "PLAN B" , choice video too.(anyone got the chase n status 12" of NO GOOD?) moshun man in vadim's TERRORIST. my bro "SKEEMZ" from up north. he kills it. deece on the decks as well. the beastie boys, not dnb i know, but they're awesome. & Tribe Called Quest (ditto) Eazy E - i listened to him more than my folks growing up. Probably explains a lot! TIKI from salmonella dub. or should i say, MC RIZLA!? The Pakage himself, homeboy's got rhymes for days. fuck, i could go on for ages..... BUT, without forgetting the whole reason we're up in that zone to begin with - THE DJ!!! I love it when a dj is obviously having fun up there, and when they're cutting it up and using the breakdowns in DNB i'll have a million lines a minute rolling thru my data streams... normally i cant get it out fast enough to catch whats down the track though... i often find myself at gigs just freestyling away to myself and getting a groove on... i thought at the friction gig i could've had a blast on the mic, but i bow down to SP for owning it the full two-plus hours.... when the fuck is TC coming to our islands ay? definately, when the crew are up-in the mix and theres a crowd of willing ravers, pass the mic, spare headphones, or a road cone, and i'll tell you a story or two. so, biggup yourselves and get ready to ride next time you see me with the weapon. and listen to the lyrics, you're about to learn a lesson... fuck, this photo could've been taken yesterday. cheers to pakage for giving a gurner a garble
