so, what prompted you to get a goldfish on your leg?

(in lieu of a dragon or some other East Asian inspired thing?)

I considered a dragon for a long time. A dragon represents wisdom in Japanese culture and symbology. But after much though i decided that the journey to gain the wisdom, the learning if you will was far more valuable than the end fact of having learnt. I guess i wanted to represent those vital life lessons that i have learnt so far, about love, friendship, people and most importantly myself.

This tattoo will always remind me if the things ive learnt about people, and about our existence here on this planet. Sounds a bit deep and overwhelming i know but its true

so, you kinda missed out the vital info when sharing tattoo stories... or i missed it coz im still bleary eyed. but, where, and who's work is this?

and how much is it costing ya? standard or mates rates etc...

ive been wanting to get a piece done on my upper arm for a couple of years now, in that similar style, but i want to find the right artist, and maybe someone who has a naturally more poppy/graffy style to their tattooing.

i hear rose hardy is the baddest.

i got my first tat on my 18th birthday, a pair of dolphins done in celtic knot style, which i drew. then later added some koru in a similar style round the outside. I ws so hooked on getting ink, but i really wanted to be sure for the next ones.

so the idea i've got now, has been in my head for years.

anyway, your piece looks dope. i hope the colour goes well.

and its a carp right>?

Heh the reason i left out where its being done is because unless you're gonna pop over to Sydney to get work done its probably irrelevant Its being done in Sydney at Inner vision which has a rep for being one of the top shops around.

Work done by Ian - who is a guest artist from spain

All up it will end up costing around 1k.

and yup its a carp - but is generally referred to as a Koi in line with the Japanese symbology its pulled from
