Our friend and brother Paul England (A.K.A. Kritical) passed away early this week. Paul took his own life to end several months of internal torment. Funeral proceedings will occur this Saturday (The 12th of January).

Paul had a message for all his friends & family...

"We've had some great times, I loved making you all laugh... as anyone who knows me well will know... I will say and do a lot of weird shit to get make someone laugh... I hate to think that my lasting legacy in this world is to make you all sad...

My last wish for everyone is that when you think about me you don't think about how it ended... instead think about a time when I did something outrageous and made you laugh... don't let my memory be depressing... when ever you think of my death instantly remember a certain time when I did something funny... choose a particular instance and use the same one every time..."

"All the best for your lives... make this world a better place... please find happiness and hold on to it because it's a beautiful thing."

I invite anyone who wishes to say goodbye to Paul and pay any respects to come along to Manukau Memorial Gardens - 357 Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe, Manukau City. There will also be a burial and then a wake to which anyone is welcome.

The service starts at 12:30 in the afternoon (Saturday the 12th of Jan) however people who wish to see Paul before the service either on the day or tonight, I welcome you to call me and arrange it.

Anyone is invited to speak also and there may be opportunity to write a parting message to Paul on his casket for those who would like to, please feel free to bring something to write or paint with if this sounds like you.

I also invite anyone to email me any photos you have of Paul (send to markstevenengland@gmail.com) and if anyone out there has any music recordings from radio or live mixes that Paul masterfully created, I'd love to get in contact with you asap.

Also feel free to pass the word around.

My cellphone number is 021311088 if anyone needs me for anything... please feel free to post what ever you like in here

Rest in peace Bro...

-Mark England

RIP Paul

you were like a brother to me over the years. Through the thick and thin you were always there.

You were such a talented dude with a bright future ahead of you. Its a shame that you thought your reasons for dying outweighed your reasons for living.

I hope you can sleep easy now that your pain has gone.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

You will live on through us in the ways that you brightened our lives and put a smile on our faces.

much love my fallen cuz.

peace

Paul, the last few years you have been a great influence on my life. Your dedication to everything you put your mind to, the website, your work, and fucking with me is something I will never forget. You've been a great friend and I'm going to miss having you here. I hope you have found your peace.

Rest in Peace Brother.

Over the last 2-3 or so years I have known Paul I have come to regard him as a close friend. Someone I could always depend on for a laugh or a favour. Always friendly and always smiling.

The support you have shown me in my musical ambitions really meant something, and with so much talent now gone I feel like there is something missing from what I do. I can't really look at my decks or tunes the same way without thinking about you messing with me while I was first playing out on Twisted or the random laughs we had about music in general.

My thoughts are definitely with Mark and the rest of his family at this time...

I'm not sure what to say as I'm kind of in a state of shock. I always thought of Paul as the happiest of guys.

I only met Paul little over a year ago so I shall leave the talking to those who had a closer relationship to Paul, all I can say is I wish I had the time to get to know you better and my heart goes out to paul's friends and family.

Rest In Peace

Edit: Sometimes in shock you forget to say the most important part,

when I returned to Auckland from my time down south I felt like a relative stranger in my own town.

Paul was one of the first few to make me feel welcome in this wonderful little community we have in this otherwise heartless metropolis. For that I can't thank him enough.

Paul my sweet dear friend.

To me your friendship was unforgettable and never ending. I will never forget your kindness and humor that brightened my life.

We will never forget the good times; your memory will be held close to our hearts. I think this is something we will never get over but in time... accept this moment and your decision.

Love you hun. Love you lots.

My condolences go out to Mark, his family, Craig & the rest of his friends.

I'm still stunned by the turn of events as other people have mentioned you always came across as a happy guy (when not hard at work) who was always keen to have a laugh. We will all miss you, may your memories live on forever.

Rest In Peace Paul.
