has anyone heard about this? its the same as google but apparently it conserves energy, needs to be added to a bit, but if many sites followed suit, it could be something.

 

apparently since its a black screen and not white it saves 'so-many-watt-hours'...

Irrelivent in the days of LCD technology. Depending on the type of panel you have some will use more power showing black, others will use more power showing white. I think turning off ya towel rail is still the best option...

to be honest i know dick-all about monitors, obviously there are methods of sustainability that would amount to much more conservation of energy, i wasnt exactly posting this to advocate the need to turn screens black.
