Merge Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) has anyone heard about this? its the same as google but apparently it conserves energy, needs to be added to a bit, but if many sites followed suit, it could be something. apparently since its a black screen and not white it saves 'so-many-watt-hours'... Depending on the type of panel you have some will use more power showing black, others will use more power showing white. I think turning off ya towel rail is still the best option... I think turning off ya towel rail is still the best option... to be honest i know dick-all about monitors, obviously there are methods of sustainability that would amount to much more conservation of energy, i wasnt exactly posting this to advocate the need to turn screens black.
