cramer
allo allo Q I started a crappy temp/casual job last monday, and signed a contract about 4 days ago (which stated I had to give two weeks notice before leaving)... I have found a much better job now (pays cash, woot) and want to leave ASAP. Should I just hand in my notice and bounce? They can't really do anything huh... Any fantastic excuses? Any advice? Appreciated
mike
ask them to fire you, cause they can do that now with the new employment laws no? Plus its only temp work so I can't see them caring too much
Pakage
ask them to fire you, cause they can do that now with the new employment laws no? only if the company has less than 20 employees. just hand in your notice cramer, say that you wish to end your term of employment immediately and see what happens. chances are they'll agree. theyre probably not gonna want to keep on someone who doesnt want to be there because youre not gonna give a fuck about the quality of your work which will tarnish their rep. if they say no, they want you to keep working for 2 weeks, theres not much they can do if you dont turn up. they can withold any holiday pay owing. but afaik thats about it.
