Pies at The Food Room. Nom.

Saves driving to The Fridge.

Yeah but they're expensive.. $6.50 or something i think.

$6.80. Still, better than a kick in the nuts.

They're worth every cent, still not as good as the ones from Fridge though.

A turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken stuffed with a cornish hen stuffed with a quail stuffed with bacon, wrapped in bacon, stuffed inside of a suckling pig, smoked then wrapped in bacon garnished with wendys baconators. All with only 79,000 calories!

Viva annual takeaway awards

I have only been to two of the places on the list and one of those is the strawberry farm in Mangere so can't really say if I agree with it on the whole or not...

Used to always go to "The Chip Shop" in Royal Oak for our Fish & Chips fix when we still lived in Auck. Best F&C in AK.

Things I have eaten in the last 2 days:

Goat brain soup

BBQ goat mammary

BBQ porcupine

BBQ whole sparrow

Duck embryo (balut)

Pidgeon soup

Wash it all down with copious shots of rice wine infused with goat penis.

Off to Clooney for lunch - first time there, heard epic things, can't wait !

Sweet! Clooney is very nice (but small portions!), they also do a really good cocktail. Pretty sure they had the best barman in the country for a while but don't quote me on that one. Also, awesome decor. Have fun and eat lots!

I totally rate Clooney. I had an outstanding de-constructed lemon meringue pie there one night. Would trade again ++

A++ would trade again. I had the seared scallop entree, angus pure main and cheese board.. all delicious and washed down with lots of tap Peroni and a beaut red wine that i've forgotten. Epic lunch. Good service, dope fit-out etc etc

Saturday night had another great dinner at O'Connell St Bistro. Scallops/Pork Belly/Mt Difficulty Pinot.

Tonight just had a take-out curry from Bollywood and it was fucking SHITE.

Cut some chillies tonight and about half n hour later got burning pain in my hand. Has now been about 5 hours, burning is still peaking, have my hand in a bowl of ice cold milk. If I remove it within 30 seconds the pain is unbearable. Have found out through google research this is called hunan hand and lasts up to 8 hours. It's so fucken sore. Anyone experienced this?

Yeah it get it all the time when dealing with chillies. I had some particularly nasty ones a few months back (Yellow w/ Black Seeds) that I could feel for about 72hrs after I touched them. Eventually it goes down to a mild tingling feeling... but yeah normally I feel slight tingling/discomfort the morning after. It's a bit like an STD really.

Oh and whatever you do, don't rub your nose, lips or eyes. Even once you've washed your hands 10,00,00 times if it's still tingling you'll end up transferring it.

Good luck.
