coffee, coffee, coffee

please to be telling me your best and most favourite cafes so that I can add any new spots to my culinary itinerary

and also your favourite places to pick up beans in 1kg increments

Allpress near Victoria Park or on Ponsonby Rd is all good. I don't buy beans from there but imagine they're good. Large selection and all...

Definitely keen to hear about some decent coffee places, especially in town? Fully lacking.

Sheinkin on Lorne St is awesome

Revel on Krd make some tasty expresso

Jafa Richmond Rd is another favourite

also Seven in Grey Lynn is usually jaw-grindingly strong

not sure if it's still there but Grind in the Chancery was really, really good too.

Not so much uptown these days, it seems most of the awesome coffee is in the suburbs for some reason.

Veni Coffee in Milford, North Shore has some of the best freshly roasted coffee beans ive had. They're a little boutique roastery and probably roast about 15 - 20 different types of beans and you can buy them in anything from 250gram lots upwards. Id suggest going in, smelling all the different types, talking to the dude and getting a few 250g bags to take home before you pick one that you want 1KG of. Or if you live on the shore, just buy them in smaller bags so they're always fresh. Definitely worth checking out.

I sell coffee, have 5 tonnes of unroasted currently, all totally organic beans, volcanically fertilized, can be brought at the Albany Dairy at the end of William Pickering Drive or thru me, alternatively Dads Pie's in Silverdale use the bean in their espresso and have fresh packs available. .. More info on the actual bean, visit the below, its pritty in depth the website, however is a top quality bean and is used in a high percentage of blends in coffee brands that are very well known.

Seven is dope. Usually go there over Occam.

Will be keen to check out that Lorne St place..I'm usually stuck around that area, lots of average/run-of-mill coffee going round...

Here's the Green Bean Casserole recipe

The only thing that i did differently was to use 1 cup of milk and about half a tin of condesnsed mushroom soup (instead of 1 1/2 cups of milk) which is what i read on another recipe and it turned out tasty as!

Just got back from Soto on St Mary's Bay road. Next level Japanese food man!! So good. I got one of the tasting platters which I would highly recommend. All the seafood was so fresh.

Definitely worth checking if you feel like splashing out.

Yeah bro Soto is the shit, just around the corner from work so go there a bit. They just opened up a new place too, Coroco, which is down in Brown St in Ponsonby...pretty sweet too.
