Grind
I had possibly the worst kebab of my life last night from Istanbul on lower Queen St. It's a shame, as it used to be one of Auckland's best. Anyone got any favourite kebab joints?
Pakage
the turkish place in 3 lamps is pretty dope.

Nato
Biltong! There is a new range (well semi new) thats out in some supermarkets now, the smokey bbq one is the shit. No nasties (preservatives msg etc) like other beef jerky products. http://www.canterburybiltong.co.nz/home/products Digging up some old shit here but I've gotta say, Garlic flavour is the best. By far. So good. Also we were discussing Indian in here about 2 years ago. I've revised my best in Auckland to Tiffan on New North Road at the corner with Morningside Drive. Best I've had in Auckland. Blows Satya out of the water these days.
Grind
Shit son. I'm there. Dine-in / takeaway or both?
Nato
Both. It's doesn't quite have the atmosphere of Satya but with a big group would be fine. There is a chicken dish called something like Chicken Sagwara or something, I'll confirm here later. It's tandoori oven cooked chicken then made into a curry. It is off the hook. Their plain Naan are the best I've had. Fuck i'm going to have to hit up Tiffan this week

Think I had that same curry - shredded tandoori chicken, coriander, spices, tomato gravy etc. Will definitely return.
Nato
Yeah I'm totally going there tonight. For me the main reason it woops Satya's ass is they don't fill all their curries with sugar. Satya has been getting sweeter and sweeter over the years.

Nato
Not sure but it's right next to the dairy on the corner of New North and Morningside. Think it's been Tiffan for a few years at least.
Pakage
I'm fucking looking forward to a good curry tonight dude. lets get it on. Hows the heat? The last indian place i went to was tasty but the spicyness of even their hot was pretty underwhelming.
Grind
Yeah, I asked for 'hot' and what I got was hardly even 'medium'. I would ask for 'extra hot' next time. Apparently they've only been open 4 months according to the waitress. (So must be new ownership if they've been there longer)

I love hot food and we've found their medium to be really hot.
Pakage
they might be one of those places where they serve white people "european" mild/medium/hot and you have to ask for "indian" mild/medium/hot. Usually indian medium is about right for me which seems to usually be hotter than their "euopean" hot. obviously nato just looks like a tuff man curry eater.
