C Steppa
Can some one give me a how to guide on scrambled eggs in the microwave? Preferably by 7am. Keen to give it a whirl tomorrow No! You don't do scrambled eggs in the microwave. Non-stick pan, preferably thick which evenly spreads heat Very low heat Butter Eggs Slowly cook, keeping them moving Turn off the heat just before they are ready Season once they are cooked, not before Scrambled eggs.....done I prefer mine in a pan just because i hate microwaves but u can get some nice fluffy eggs from that contraption. maxtone
hmm i prefer to do my eggs on a high heat, constantly moving with the wooden spoon, done in like a minute and they come out mean

Main things are butter / pan / don't season / don't stir too much (before cooking)

You don't do scrambled eggs in the microwave. Totally agree, but lately have been finding myself running low mid morning. So i figure a bit of protein should do the trick. Don't have time to cook or clean pan eggs in the morning. Took me 8 minutes to cook, eat and clean up this morning and I think I can shave another minute or two off that. 7/10 for taste and texture too. Grind
So fucken good on anything. Sandwiches, salads, fuck prolly even cereal We stock up on these at our flat. Just did a roast chicken the other night that was absolutely swimming in the stuff, and then topped off with african spices and smoked paprika Speaking of chicken - here's the KFC recipe (well pretty close to it, apparently) Ron Douglas, author of "America's Most Wanted Recipes," says that he has, through trial and error, found a recipe for KFC's 11 herbs and spices. "The exact recipe has never been released," Douglas admitted, "but mine comes really, really close. I kept trying, and with the help of the online community, we figured out a recipe that's so good most people can't tell the difference." — 1 teaspoon ground oregano — 1 teaspoon chili powder — 1 teaspoon ground sage — 1 teaspoon dried basil — 1 teaspoon dried marjoram — 1 teaspoon pepper — 2 teaspoons salt — 2 tablespoons paprika — 1 teaspoon onion salt — 1 teaspoon garlic powder — 2 tablespoons Accent The Full Article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32027188/

C Steppa
Sages in Pt chev is good, think it won best curry in metro?? I live out west now so i usually hit Curry Leaf in Hutchinson ave. I fucken love curry. I tend to hit spice shops where you can get a shitload of spices for so fucken cheap and whip up my own creation. Takes a bit of time but if you have it, it's always worth the wait. Pataks poppadoms arn't to shabby either for a good side.

Aphra
Super easy to make curry at home and soo much tastier! You can pretty much get all the spices at the super market. I'd recommend http://www.epicurious.com/ or maybe http://www.cuisine.co.nz/ although cuisine can sometimes be a bit fancy on it. The thing about searching for recipes on the net is there's so much crap out there that its hard to sift it out... Find trusted websites imo

C Steppa
Definatley dont buy your spices from a supermarket. So expensive. Theres spice shops everywhere that are so much cheaper. One on dominion road is good and they sell fresh Chapatti and stuff. I bought so many different spices and it cost like 7 bucks for the lot. Its easy as to make your own just takes a while to simmer for extra tender meat. I bought a sick as Asian Foods recipe book that has heaps of indian, indo, thai, vietnam, laos, cambodian recipes. You should definatley get a motar and pestil aswell, they work a treat. I also like to tune in to radio Apna 990am, while im cooking, for mean hindi music for a full indian experience. haha. I fucken love indian culture.
