Al Volos = #1 with a mention to Sals =

Don't agree with the rest. Had F&C from the Fishmonger last night and it was average and overpriced. Mt Eden = way better. I spluttered when I read Murder Burger, but after thinking about it...who else would win? We lack a Fergburger up here...

In other news, I am going to attempt to secure reservations at the following establishments:

The Fat Duck, London

El Bulli, Spain

The French Laundry, California

Nice, there's a place in New Orleans that I'd add to that list, but I forget the name right now. And also Les Halles in NYC, but that's just because I have a serious mancrush on Anthony Bourdain

In other news, if you like South American food and are in Welly, Amigos is next level awesome. Good prices, great food. Sunday looks like the day to go, 2 for 1 caipirinhas and feijoada.

Bump.

Seeing as where well in the midst of the fishing season.. anyone discovered any great new seafood recipes?

As long as its real fresh I like to leave the fish (filleted and boned and cut into cubes) over night in lemon juice then cut up some tomatoes, cucumbers, spring onions, some red onion and mix it all up and just eat it like that. So good. U can chuck some coconut cream in there as well if you want that shit Island Stylz

what kind of food do you like?

something easy:

1 can of chickpeas

2 capsicum

1 courgette

handful of mushrooms

1 onion

fresh herbs of some description

dice mushrooms, onion and courgette

saute with a little oil until soft

drain chickpeas, add to pan

add fresh herbs and stir through

halve and deseed capsicum

stuff capsicums with your chickpea vego mixture, bake at 180 for 25-30 mins

failing that:

steak

2 vege (1 of which has to be potato)

fry steak in oil

boil potato

steam other vege

voila!
