Dr Awesome Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 The front door is boarded up now, but there is a small hole in the carpark that leads over to a small ledge above a 20ft (I've only ever been drunk in there - height might be wrong) drop. This will lead back into the building as you can see a doorway. Pretty skeptical means of entry - but there is gaff down there so people do it. Inside the building it was just a big fire gutted mess I think. All the staircases were made out of concrete but some where missing and you kinda had to clamber up them. It was do-able but a bit of a mission. Top 2(?) floors were empty, bottom ones had mattresses and shit in them, didn't see anyone but I didn't have a torch. thr339z Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Theres a really dope abandoned and destroyed house on liverpool st off krd on the hill end down the one way side... def go there...its very epicaly derilict and dystopian and has all these apartment blocks around it and really solid yet naturally defused and flat light pretty much all day .have shot loads of pictures there for peeps and lotsa vids... just take some one with you and do a circumnavigation of the house before you go in as there more than likely will be kids there.. I dunno if there will be any bums left in the wolfe st spot since its boarded up but its definitely full of crazy shit.. you can even get into the front bit and there is a some grimey cellar type area..and an area from what looked like maybe a restaurant. I was once in there and a junkie couple were having a very violent argument. I had found one room in the office area with a mattress in the middle, a little glass table, a cooking area, drug storage area (had an assortment of medication) and porno stash (blergh). A real sick building thats been abandoned for sometime is out in helensville, it used to be a milk factory I believe. Huge wide open spaces and plenty of grime. Another one of the top of my head is in Onehunga, seems to be a an old mechanics place, been empty for over 10 years. They've owned it for a few years, but it's been derelict for much longer. I guess they spent ages planning their new house etc....it was the most expensive residential real-estate sale in Auckland ever.
