MizFunk
I'll have to add the disclaimer at the start because I'm by no means an expert in this field I've just managed to fix my own a few times. If the problem seems to be the RCA somewhere inside the turntable I'd open it up and check no wires have come loose. If all good then possibly replace the cable? Shouldn't do any harm imo unless you do something funky Had something similar in one deck a few months back and the new cable seemed to fix it. Doesn't take long just need a soldering iron and some screw drivers. Depends on if you want to spend $$$ and get someone proper to do it or not.
