It almost deserves it's own thread in the general arena, betcha not many lurkers have got the BSE section on bookmark..

There's a Shooters opened up nexsdoor to Phat, seem's to crank. And with the direction Phat rolls (Ministry, FU, Sandwiches styles), it must be hard tryin to hit the margins by scraping the Nelson populace with Thursday night bookings of whoever's in the country, even with the Phat name to lean on an levrage lower overheads on gig's. Specially with the 3am shutties and local LLA makin noise about 1am lockouts.

I reakon they looked at the 3 parts of their bizzo (Club, Phat moon and NY's, and Tasters) and went 'well shit, it's obvous where our time's better spent'.

 

I want 3 Speights gold for $10, easy on the skittles.

 

And tbh, $418,750 for that place.. With increased competition within on premise in Nelson, and the prospect of havin ongoin brand issues with the previous owners, specially when to maintain the business model they would have to deal with them every week for bookings etc, and the previous owners retain the 'Phat' right's to somethin more profitable..?
