in our school talent quest, a couple of mates and i did a rap "song" about our school. we even dubbed up some of our mums old records for background music.

the song was called "here comes the subway train", and we received a standing ovation... the best part was that we actually paid out all those jocks, cocks, ghey teachers and religious nut cases who made our daily existence a fucking drudgery.

classic act of the talent quest was the Bretheren band playing dire straights, money for nothin... they are not allowed to listen to non religious or electronic media so, had never actually heard what the song should sound like.... fucking butchers.

and whats up with dodgey teachers??? i once had a woodwork teacher who tried get me to have a cold shower while he watched for drawing on a desk... and since we're naming names, it was Mr.Rusden of Opononi Area School.

i was given the option of sanding and revarnishing all the desks, or taking the shower....

anyone got any old desks they need restored? i'm pretty good at it ay.

hmm - for some small insignificant reason... I think you made the right decision there aye?

If only kids could report sickos like this without being told they're lying... =( Kinda sad that most of us can remember a school with at least one teacher that should be taken out the back...

i won the nz skateboarding nationals in 2001(still cant decide weather im proud of it or not)

dude thats a fucking big achievement that you should be proud of. i would be if i was you

I was at that comp, and I gotta say that after all the years of skating with beall, and streetboozing sessions at aotea square back in the day, it was awesome to see him finally get his dues. he fucking killed it with crazy flip trick runs and definately had the cruiseyest style on the day.

But, even better, was when they announced he had won, he came up onto the pyramid to receive abunch of dope stuff, which he proceeded to throw out into the crowd full of greedy grommets.

. waaaayyy too cool for prizes.

I'm pretty sure he kept the cash though? and i'm damn sure if he did that, then he would've stuck to the winners code, which is more of a guideline than actual rules, of putting a slice on the bar for the other contestants.

I hope other "sporting disciplines" adhere to this practise? anyone care to clarify?

In his own words... "If you're a dope C#*T, then it's usually ten percent...out of a grand, thats still a few drinks for the boys. "

wow thanks ducky....

i may aswell add that i got 2nd at the world ams in arizona in 2002 also,i almost won it but i got beaten by a 16 year old kid while my friend curtis fucked the kids mum back at the hotel.....hilarious considering she looked like the michelin man.

if anyone would like to see the trailor for our skate video it can be found on youtube,i think its under "chop club video teaser".the full version will be released sometime this year.all the guys in it are amazing skaters and have been filming hard for the last two years.

my part was finished a year ago and ive hardly skated since dnb took over my life.....

yeah that was my ride.....

glad you liked the promo lads,it took forever to get a clear go at it with noone sitting on the benches on a saturday afternoon....

the general publics opinion of skateboarders isnt usually an understanding one so asking people to not sit down at a public busstop so i can ride my little kids toy over the top of it and do a trick off the end doesnt often result in a warm reception....

usually they back down when they see that we have two proper filmers with lights and a camera lense bigger than their home television set.(they assume its for television and if they ask you just say "yeah")

ill post a link or whatevs when my mates eventually finish the movie, they just went to sydney for ten days of filming and it rained for seven out of the ten days they were there, and motivating a ten man crew of stoners every saturday and sunday back home while trying to keep everybody happy with spot selection and dodging auckland weather on top of getting kicked out by security almost everywhere you go can make it quite a task to actually film something you wanna put in the video that your hyped on.

"chopclub skate vid teaser 07" on youtube

nice one bruv

not your usual sound track on that clip neither

yeah my skate mates listen to an immensely vast collection of music and trying to find classic songs that go with the theme and/or footage and havent been used in another skate movie is very hard.so that one is a frickin goodie(as long as noone else uses it and releases their movie first....which has already happened with another track they had in mind)

in the same way that a basshead trainspotter knows every tune at all the raves he goes to skatenerds can tell you who used the song in whatever particular video and then probably tell you what shoes hes wearing in his opening trick,or if one hears a tune he knows from a video he might test other skatenerds and just pull out the classic line "who's part?"

all other skatenerds present will fire their answers back in rapidfire to be the first correct answer.

well.....i do anyway..
