Sounds like a lot of shit happened in her life. I stand by my earlier comments though.

Grind
Looks like a statue is on the way! http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/4975867/Monument-to-K-Rds-Margaret-highly-likely Sydney also has a statue of a bum, so we'll be in good company.
Phil O
I must be the only person who has no idea who this is? I saw a different old lady who didnt look bum like at all initially (just thought she was someones granny) randomly pull a half eaten sandwhich out of the bin outside St Kevins Arcade and chow down. If they build a statue for her then surely there has to be a memorial to one-dread, blanket man, speedy and joan the butcher too once they pass on, all of them are far more famous in the underground bum scene imo. Possibly a group memorial with all of them in one place, would be legendary!

C Steppa
The dude that used to sit outside Grey Lynn foodtown was pretty bad ass. He had so much condiments in his bag. I saw him bust out a meal, get his salt and pepper shakers out, season it. Then poured a glass of red wine into a wine glass to enjoy with his meal. I always called him Gentleman Jim. Haven't seen him in ages, hope he is well.

Always listening to music during the day on the bench seat or sleeping in the bus stop on Williamson Ave by night. Noone seems to know what happened to the guy. As for the Statue, I'm for it. beatrixquiddo
What about instead of paying money to have a statue, use the money to help people out like her, instead?... Or am I being too boring and practical.
