Dr Awesome
Good luck using Tor for anything other than token connections. It's so painfully slow it is basically irrelevant in NZ.

Pakage
Retroshare The RetroShare network allows people to create a private and encrypted file-sharing network. Users add friends by exchanging PGP certificates with people they trust. All the communication is encrypted using OpenSSL and files that are downloaded from strangers always go through a trusted friend. In other words, it’s a true Darknet and virtually impossible to monitor by outsiders. Sounds good, anyone keen to start a DBNZ one up? im on slingshot unlimited and have around 3T of data to share

Pakage
The pirate bay is experimenting with hosting their front (redirection) servers on flying drones, running on Raspberry Pi, kilometers up in the air. Meaning that to shut them down the US government would have to shoot them down with jets which in foreign airspace would be considered an act of war. http://thepiratebay.se/blog/

You know, write them a few love letters, offer them a lifetime of free torrenting, put a non-muteable repeating midi file of their national anthem on TBP homepage. Think outside the box brah, stop being such a negative Nancy.

Medium
i just got on unlimited slingshot and ive been torrenting my ass off. i just use peerblock. seems to do the trick. it basically blocks all ip addresses that have been added to the blacklist which is currently about 780 million ip's. its not full protection but its better than pulling out last minute. init

Pakage
Someone mentioned to me the other day that all infringement notices that have been issued come from the RIAANZ or whatver its called. So, people are getting busted for downloading music but the TV & Movie studios cant be fucked paying the $25 processing fee per notice. Any substance to that claim Mark? I dont pirate music, so this is good news as far as im concerned.
