Pakage
Cops throw flashbang at an incapacitated bystander while the crowd yells out to get help for him: Iraq Veterans Against the War member Scott Olsen (Marines 2 tours Iraq) shot in the head by Oakland City Police last night at Occupy Oakland with either rubber bullet or gas canister and is now in critical condition in the hospital: Survived 2 tours in Iraq only to get done in by one's countrymen. The irony. shits getting real, its only a matter of time before more people are seriously injured or killed.

Pakage
Police refuse to evict Dunedin Occupy protesters Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull says he is "completely at a loss" after police yesterday ruled out enforcing trespass notices that would have forced Occupy Dunedin protesters to quit their Octagon encampment. Dunedin-Clutha area commander Inspector Greg Sparrow issued a brief statement late yesterday, confirming police would not act on the trespass notices issued to the protesters by council staff last week. Police had been considering their legal position for the past week, but Insp Sparrow yesterday concluded the trespass notices did not meet "the test of balancing the rights and freedoms of all parties". Police were yet to see any action by the protesters "that would justify police intervention", but would continue to monitor the situation, he said. full article
zeb
These humans need to stop being little bitches. Freecamping in the city and stealing water while sitting round smoking rollies and smelling like shit is not gonna solve anything......Neither is busking. And eventually trespass notices will be issued and enforced and then they will be back where they started. I wanna go drunk stomping through tent town this weekend..... perceptualChaos
Well wtf did they think was going to happen after 2 months?!!! 2 weeks would be a good effort, but beyond that why should they be treated any different from homeless people? They should have all just left peacefully from the start of the eviction IMO.
C Steppa
"Protesters have had two months to occupy the park with tents and sleeping bags. Now they will have to occupy the space with the power of their arguments," Bloomberg said in a statement, adding that the situation had become "intolerable." Fair call.
