Ignition
I'm looking for a decent pair of earbuds so I can zone out at work. I work in a pretty corporate environment, and my HD-25's aren't really suitable for this place. Anybody got any suggestions for earbuds that actually sound decent? perceptualChaos
I'm also in the market for good earbuds... I decided on the Shure SE215 though I haven't bought them yet. Apparently they sound awesome, but it looks like they had some kind of manufacturing fault at the start... Lots of reports of the left ear stopping working after a few months. It looks like they have sorted it out now, and all the affected customers seem to have been treated very well by Shure so I will buy when I can afford. Nato
I'd recommend Shure's as well. It was what I intended to buy for use at work but when I went to get them they were out of stock. I ended up with a set from the Sony Monitor line and they are really good as well. Incredibly low bass and overall a very descent sound.

beatrixquiddo
Anyone got any suggestions for a slightly lower price bracket? Im not expecting amazing quality. Just want a comfortable upgrade from my apple standard whites. Maybe like $60 to $80?
Nato
a comfortable upgrade from my apple standard whites. Pretty much everything is an upgrade from those Basic thing to look out for is that they should be in-ear ones that fit you like an ear plug. The seal in your ear allows for freakishly low sub bass on most models using that design which goes a long way to making little earbuds sound better. nzremo1
i would recommend the Sennheiser CX 300-II. i'm sure there's better out there but they've done me real well, mean bass etc. copped a pair at heathrow airport 2.5 years ago for 30 pounds. as far as i know you can now get them at parallel imported in penrose for $30. http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_classic-line_cxseries-in-ear-earphones-cx-300-ii

Ignition
Cool thanks guys. Just bought a pair of the SE215's for $106 delivered. Nice! so what do you think? good sound quality? comfortable enough to wear around the office? Sorry, didn't see this. I ended up cancelling the order as they weren't gonna arrive at their warehouse for another week, then 3 weeks to ship to me. Found a local store that sells them for $19 more, so been meaning to get them... As soon as I grab them, I shall let you know!

Known One
Plenty of fake CX400's floating around apparently... so be careful with them... check that the Sennheiser logo is drawn correctly... The real one has little curves on the S and the fake one doesn't. Real... Fake... The cheap ones on Ebay are generally fake etc.
perceptualChaos
I bought some fake ones in the past from ebay, they sounded like shit.
