perceptualChaos
Nice one. If you are mainly interested in events in Auckland, then this is the right place! Unfortunately the main venue for dnb gigs (Fu bar) recently closed down, but there is still stuff going on most weeks. I recommend checking the events forum / events page, or just posting again when you get here.

Nato
Yeah most dnb gigs will open doors at 10pm with the main act on sometime between 1 and 4 and closing up around 5 or 6 depending on the crowd.

Nato
New Zealanders are generally pretty laid back and most people are just out to have a good time. You do get the occasional munter who makes trouble but not very often. You are likely to find more trouble on the way to and from a gig than you ever will inside one. Going to dnb gigs in London as a girl on my own I was constantly sketched out by filthy, aggro chavs on a scale I wasn't prepared for after years at NZ gigs. NZ dnb heads are some of the most welcoming, friendly people out and any munters that do show up stand out like dogs bollox and don't last long.
