Job Description: Senior Developer / Technologist ( P-H-P / My-SQL )

 

Salt Interacitve is seeking a talented Interactive Developer proficient in LAMP based web applications. You'll work closely with our interactive designers and creatives on a wide range of digital projects for high profile clients in New Zealand and abroad. You must be passionate about your craft and enjoy finding creative solutions to complex tasks in the constantly evolving digital world. You'll play a key role in Salts interactive team and work from our Auckland City studio.

 

You will be responsible for:

- Scoping projects & providing internal time estimates

- Planning, designing & developing database solutions

- Planning, developing web sites, mobile sites and applications

- Testing and deployment ensuring specifications are met

- Acting as the company?s technical contact when required

- Assisting with the ongoing development of Salt's technology requirements

- Assisting at the creative or design phase of a project with technical ideas or solutions

 

Required Skills:

 

? Revision Control (Git, SVN)

? P-H-P-5 / My-SQL

? HTML-5 / X-H-T-M-L / C-S-S / X-M-L

? JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Prototype)

? Facebook Graph API

? Zend Gdata API

? Existing CMS Platforms (SilverStripe, Wordpress)

? A-M-F-P-H-P/WebORB

? Linux Server Administration & Apache Web Server Experience

yo Craig, I wondered if you'd be interested actually...

We basically need someone who can hit the ground running, direct development of PHP driven projects, fb apps, apps for iPad/Phone and Android(although we do have other developers who specialise in this)...and generally kick the graduates and juniors asses into gear from time to time (mine and one other guys).

 

We've been using CodeIgnitor lately for our apps, and a lot of bespoke javascript stuff. Company is looking to move away from advertising type stuff and more into interactive campaigns and applied technologies.
