penco
the fuck that knee and punch at 3:17 looks fake as shit. ps. i fail to see how this is funny at all. if that was a legit bottle to the head, that moron could have killed the guy if he fell and his his skull on the concrete. pps. and as to why no one told those two drunken candy-asses to move along is beyond me. poor form
Nato
Wtf is this shit? Looks fake as hell and it isn't even entertaining.
Hakomi
Yep looks like a shit cunt rubbish attempt at a viral marketing campaign. They have all the links for their music etc. If this is infact a rubbish attempt at marketing why the fuck would you want to associate dnb with drunken fighting twats, there is enough bad press for dnb as it is. Dr Awesome
Ha, my little brother just told me he's the dude on the left in the white shirt filming with the other phone/camera. Should have noticed! Will get the inside word!
perceptualChaos
The comments on the video are a bit of a laugh... The overwhelming negative response seems to have prompted them to change the description: It now says "This is the official music video for our debut single "El Gringo". No actors were harmed in the making of this!"
MechanismNZ
Yup. Marketing attempt gone wrong. When the idea was pitched to us we thought it was a great novel idea to get recognition in a notoriously difficult profession. We learned that if you put your head out, be prepared to have it chopped down! People like hiding behind their computers and throwing harsh, harsh abuse at anyone or anything they dislike. Luckily people in NZ are no way as harsh as other countries.
Nato
If you'd pitched it as a music video at least you would have avoided the whole "this is fake" backlash. It's 2012, the video would need to be slick as hell to make people think it was real. When I was in my prime and hitting the clubs every weekend this was exactly the opposite of what we saw on the street. The sidewalk outside old Fu used to be one of the safest and happiest places in Auckland city (hint: people were taking real MDMA) and any time there was obnoxious drunk behaviour it was quickly dealt with. What you have portrayed in the video isn't funny, or cool, or even entertaining, it's embarrassing to see it associated with the "dnb scene". Known One
We learned that if you put your head out, be prepared to have it chopped down! haha... sounds like some Engrish proverb or something. Chopped down? tbh doesn't sound like you learnt much if that's how you sum it up.
MechanismNZ
The issue with posting as a music video is that it would not have gotten any where near as many views. In one way it achieved more than we hoped for, which was heaps of views 55k. But yeah not the reaction hoped for lol. Internet community doesn't like cheap tricks. Don't worry our next music video clip will probably do the sex thing rather than the violence thing. "Hot chick masturbates in night club"?
