I don't think its a bitrate thing - I've experimented on my own page and found that you can have the same mp3 uploaded at as high bit rate as you want and it will stream sweet PROVIDED you have the "allow users to download this song" thing checked. If you don't have it checked then it cuts in and out like a retard with a stutter. Let me know if you can confirm my hypothesis - I'm pretty sure its just a myspace bug.
